Showing gratitude is an important life skill that can help students build empathy and compassion and this is a great time of the year to do so! Here I am to share three fun ways to have students show their gratitude, with some adorable crafts that look perfect on the bulletin board and that families will love to see!
Positive Pop Ups
Who doesn’t love a good card?! What’s even MORE exciting is the surprise of a POP UP card! Students love the element of something jumping out at them and think it’s super cool that they can make it themselves! This adorable card is an easy to assemble craft that also allows students to share what they are grateful for. It’s the perfect craft to keep kids engaged and a sweet gift they can give to their families. Check it out HERE!
Not only do these writing crafts look great on the bulletin board, but they help students express gratitude to someone important. Take them through the Writing Process and have them share about a person who’s made them feel special this year. You can check out some wonderful student examples below. Not only does this pack include the adorable thankful writing, but it also includes some engaging creative writing prompts like help the turkey escape Thanksgiving! Check them out HERE!
Have you ever made a lapbook with students? It’s basically a file folder filled with mini pieces that come together to create something awesome. They are a great cumulative project that families will love to see. This lap book displays what students are grateful for, traditions they’re thankful that their families share, while also expressing gratitude for talents they possess. Students will use all kinds of skills to make this beautiful lapbook that you can check out HERE!
