The next game is more of a challenge with a hands on twist. Students use their astronaut manipulatives and a rocket ship cup to help them solve their problems. Students must figure out how many astronauts are in their cup spaceship. It’s instant engagement that students LOVE! They love practicing their missing addends with this game and it’s a perfect way to soar their way to mastery!
I’m a sucker for an adorable learning craft and making math fun at the same time. This math craft allows students to show off all their learning of missing addends by solving their own problem and illustrating it with their pasted pieces. They get to hide astronauts under their spaceship to show their missing addend and it’s a fun flip surprise for those checking out their learning. Students love the interaction piece and they look great on a bulletin board!
