Let’s Get Corny!
Sensory bins are the most fun and this fall themed one is set up to be a-maize-ing! They’re a little bit of work and a whole lot of fun! Grab yourself a bin, some acorns, leaves, or corn kernels and BAM! Now that you’ve got yourself a gourd-geous sensory set up, it’s time to add the learning component! It can be as simple as adding in some fine motor practice and having students pick out and match numbers with these FREE number cards. Grab them free by subscribing below! Carve out Some Handwriting Time
Handwriting is such an important skill for littles but let’s face it, it’s often a dreaded activity for them. Help reLEAF them of that stress by adding some hands-on components to the writing. Students can build numbers and/or letters with acorns, candy corn or corn kernels before writing. They can trace words in fall colored sand which can help relax those fingers before tracing the same words on THESE cards. It’s learning and fun!

After they’ve gotten in some awesome handwriting fun, it’s time to get crafty! Students will FALL in love with these adorable autumn themed writing prompts. Teach them about the life cycle of an apple that they’re sure to love learning about! Bring in some green and red apples and let students explore dissecting this delicious fruit. Want to take the spice to the next level? Make applesauce with your students with this easy crockpot recipe! FALLing in Love with STEM
Bringing the engineer out of my students is always a sure fire way to make them a be-leaf-er in themselves! This pumpkin catapult challenge is so much fun and such a great way to build perseverance and practice collaborative learning among your students. They’ll learn all about levers, potential and kinetic energy while constructing catapults and then get some measurement skills up by calculating the distance their candy pumpkins travel after being launched.
